zumspot-RSP 3.5 from HRO

Post by W1WKW »

hope this is the right area of your board for this newb question:

when i start up my hotspot "zumspot-rsp 3.5" i got from HRO, naturally it displays my call, then it displays 1234567 , which is listed in the configuration as the "CCS7/DMR ID:" my zumspot is only set to be used on Fusion, I have tried to leave the CCS7/DMR ID: box blank but it reverts back to 1234567, is this normal? what is it ?

another words, when the unit starts it says :

W1WKW/1234567

oh, and while I have your attention i may as well ask another newbie question, what does the "N" signify when I see someone is talking and their call is displayed, example, there is a ham talking away and on my zumspot display it lists - N W9EXAMPLE Does the "N" signify Node ?

In wires X. Yes N represents Node
as R does for Repeater YOU also have
G for gateway, but that one is less seen.

If your on a YSF which runs into a wires X bridge thats what your most likly seeing.
