3d printed case from Thingiverse (www.thingiverse.com/thing:3213628). I need to tweak the print settings a bit.. my printer didn't print as clean as I'd like.

Re: New to me duplex spot..
Nice case, Gene. I always thought an angled screen for a desk modem is a good idea, and an adjustable one provides the best choices. Well done.

Re: New to me duplex spot..
Wish I could take credit for the design Toshen.
I like it, but had to drill the case for access to plug in the power. As is with his design and recommended parts, it just wouldn't work with a 3b+. The 3.5 nextion is a tight fit but that could be due to variances in printers.. Mine is a Monoprice Select Mini v1.. Not the best out there, but a great one to learn on.

Duplex Spot #2. YSF. 3d printed case design here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3143189
Had to do some trimming to get the 4b+ to fit..
No Nextion or OLED, I have 2 spots with Nextions, and one with OLED.. and I never look at them.. so no screen this time.

Re: New to me duplex spot..
I like the way you mounted the fan. I agree on the Nextion/OLED comment. I have two hotspots with Nextions and a couple more Nextions that I use for testing that I plug in via USB (mainly to test the Nextion configuration settings). But other than for testing, I rarely look at them. My conclusion is that they are fun to play around with, but not necessary.

Re: New to me duplex spot..
The fan mount is why I chose this design. The 4's seem to run hotter and need a fan, so it was a pretty easy pick. I'm also scrapping the fancy tilt screen design for the DMR duplex spot and putting it in one like this so I can fan cool the 3b+ that runs that one.KE0FHS wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:21 pm

Re: New to me duplex spot..
3b+ is running about 10 degrees cooler in the new case/fan setup.. that's a good thing.

Re: New to me duplex spot..
Hi,
This design is not available anymore at the pointed web site.
Please, would you happen to have the 3D files?
Thanks.
