Can Link to YSF Parrot, But Not America Link

Post by KY4FL »

Hi. My simplex Jumbo Spot has been working just fine for several months then suddenly stopped working. Network connection is fine, but not getting any traffic from the Fusion net, nor sending any out. The parrot works fine, so it seems a lot of things have to be ok, but still no cigar. Tried re-flashing the SD Card, updating the hat firmware, but no improvement. Here is my log:

No, also cant see anything obvs. that looks adrift in the log extract.

Can you link to other YSF reflectors or FCS rooms?

What or to where were you connecting?

Obvs. not to america link itself as they are hosted on wires x network. What bridge or bridged reflector are you trying to link with. The issue with some of these larger cross linked groups is many of the bridges are ran by 3rd parties with their bridges hosted on home connections. Its a littery of tunnels ysf, fcs, yfcs, pysf. if one goes amiss it doesnt hurt am/link but it's just dropped your path into them.

Hi KE7FNS and M1DNS,

Thank you for taking the time to look into my issue. After reading your messages this morning, I fired up the hot spot and began the process of capturing the log with a connection to the YSF Parrot, and then to America Link, hoping that would show something useful. The link to the Parrot worked just fine, same as yesterday. I then linked to America Link, sent out a message asking for a radio check, and very unfortunately, it worked - I got an immediate response. Being an engineer with 40 years of experience, I can truly say "I hate when that happens". Now I don't know if I have a flaky unit, or somehow a sequence of operations cleared up a problem, or what. Best I can do now is backup the configuration, take screen shots of the setup, and keep my fingers crossed!

Thanks again for your time, much appreciated!
