The TGIF Network now allows 7 Digit Talk Groups, also if you want to to use a personal ID as a Talk Group there ways to do this.
Method 1) If you are a dedicated pi-star DMRGateway user, you can use a phantom tg. If you want to use Real TG 3023555 on both BM and TG then you would do this.
Find an unused TG number, that your are reasonably sure you would not require in the real world. ie 12345.
Net1 (BM)
TGRewrite2=2,1012345,2,3023555,1
and on Net4 (TGIF)
TGRewrite2=2,4012345,2,3023555,1
Position this rule in above other TGRewrite rules in the Network as the DMRGateway process the /etc/dmrgateway file, line by line until it gets a match, processes it, and then bails out.
Program 1012345, and 4012345 into your radio.
Method 2) If you are a true Ham and willing to experiment and break away from the establishment, then you can try DMRGateway-4. Documentation is available at https://tgifnetwork.createaforum.com/new-board/
This DMRGateway-4 has three operational modes, two of which will handle 7 digit talk groups.
A) Raw mode, using tg triggers similar to the OpenSpot. TG 9001-9006 will lock into Networks 1 to 6, and allow up to and including any 7 digit TG on the selected network.
B) 8 Digit mode translation ie 14031000=tg31000. The 14 will lock into Network4 and then allow 3023555 to work with an appropriate rule
TGRewrite1=2,1000001,2,1000001,5599999
Note: This version has a Net6, but is limited by a max number capability 2^24=16777216
I have had a lot of fun building up this application over the last 3-4 years and have quite a few users.
This version also retains all the original credits
