I have one. It is definitely NOT a RPi dropin. It does not boot a standard RPi OS, The GPIO pins are physically compatible, but not electrically. They're standard Raspbian uses Wayland without the option to switch between X as RPi OS does. I ran their script that supposedly makes it possible for RPi Os to boot on both, but it did not work for me the one time I used it. Pi-Star does not run on it.
That being said... I am using it for VHF/UHF digital modes... quite successfully.
