Call sign routing on NXDN?

Post by AK7AN »

I guess it would be more like ID routing. If I programmed someone else's NXDN ID in to the Unit ID list and set that ID to do an Individual call, would it route to the last place that person's ID was transmitted? Or does NXDN not function that way? I know it works in an RF environment, but does the NX core support it?
Thanks

Does not work that way. The NXDNgateway was written to connect outbound to a reflector. The gateway has no ability to handle inbound connections.

The only gateway in the whole suite of KLX offerings that has this ability is ircddbgateway, which is used with DSTAR mode

For the life of me I haven't been able to get the call sign routing on DStar to work. I have read and watched YouTube and it just doesn't want to play.
Thanks for the info on NXDN.
