First you need to create an rssi.dat file to make use of rssi.

edit content of the file RSSI file if you have one already included...

Expert mode
../admin/expert/edit_mmdvmhost.php
Find  field   : RSSIMappingFile

Usually here ::   /usr/local/etc/RSSI.dat

43 -43

53 -53

63 -63

73 -73

83 -83

93 -93

99 -99

105 -105

111 -111

117 -117

123 -123

129 -129

135 -135

141 -141

#The data to RSSI.dat

#Values in the RSSI.dat file are obtained using the MMDVMCal calibration program (S mode),

#the values here are for the v. popular GM340UHF radio.

Yours will be differerent depending the output of pistar-mmdvmcal.

Thats providing the rssi does actually work with a hotspot ??

I have Jumbo spot, FW 1.6.1, Pi-Star 4.1.8, Dashboard 20240210.
RSSI isn't appear in the field on dashboard.
* File /usr/local/etc/RSSI.dat is OK
* The same info is shown OK in Expert mode in menu RSSI Dat and in menu MMDVMHost as RSSIMappingFile '/usr/local/etc/RSSI.dat'

Is there any service to start that?

MMDVM Generic firmware has no RSSI support, MMDVM (non generic) FW has the RSSI code in it.
You need to know if your board actually supports RSSI or not, it may just be putting a generic value in the field that never changes if it does not actually support it.

Ah, OK. Thanks.
I know that My HS_HAT used to have RSSI. So, that I asked here about.
Re-install FW of my HS_Hat and RSSI is now appearing on dashboard.
