Lan connection to pistar zero w

Post by g1gdb »

I know you can use wifi to connect to the pi, and I dont have any bother but if posible I would like the lan adapter to micro c plug, I bought adapter but it does not seem to work with the pistar software, it maybe I need to alter something by ssh, but I am not very sure on how to do this.,
Any help would be useful I did Ask a local user and he had the same problem.
it may be it cant be done, I will point out I was using the correct conection for the pi not the power connection.
Thanks in advance.

Derek,
I use the amazon firestick ethernet adaptors. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-Etherne ... C82&sr=8-1
You just plug it into the USB port of the Pi Zero, and apply power to the adaptor. It will power the pi via the USB connection.
(I don't think it works if you connect to the Pi's power socket)

Hi Jon,
thanks for your help, I run a pi zero2w with a micro a connector plug "A" , I knew not to use a power plug to try it, but on your advice I will look at your sugestion, the adapter I did buy was from aliexpress, and this was mabe a mistake to try, but hey ho lol, you learn as time goes.
