I'm trying to get set up with a N5BOC MMDVM duplex hotspot. At the moment, I'm only interested in getting DMR access. I have updated to the latest pi-star and have installed a new API key. My internet is connected without any issues.
A couple of possibly related questions:
In my configuration, am I "Simplex Node" or "Duplex Repeater" ?
If I have never transmitted with an HT, should I, none the less, be able to see gateway activity?
Should I be able to set a talk group? Whenever I try to assign a static talk group I get "BrandMeister APIv2: No Response" and I am not seeing any gateway activity.
I'm sure I have some fundamental misunderstandings and have left out some needed information. Please don't hesitate to correct me and/or ask for more information.
Thanks in advance.

Re: BrandMeister APIv2: No Response
I see now, I should have looked at the N5BOC instructions for setting up the board. I will update this post after looking at that.

Still no luck. Checked all. Noticed that the DMR Net block is yellow.

Re: BrandMeister APIv2: No Response
The yellow DMR Net block suggests to me that your hotspot can see whichever BM server you have specified, but is not able to complete the connection/authentication process.
Things to check:
i) Have you correctly entered your callsign, hotspot type, etc into BM self-care page.
ii) Have you set a password in BM self-care and set the same password in your hotspot BM configuration - this password is not the same as your BM API one-time code that BM generates for you.
You won't see any Net activity from BM until you have either set one or more static TGs on BM or manually dialled a TG and it connects as a dynamic TG - but first of all you need to resolve any outstanding config issues and get the DMR icon to turn green.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: BrandMeister APIv2: No Response
The root cause is the incorrect date/time on the system while SSL certificates do have start/end date thus preventing the connection.
