NEW Design for OLED screens available

Post by PD0DIB »

Since many hotspot users are using the OLED screen, KD4Z (Warren Merkel) designed a new layout for the OLED.
Now you can see the Call and name, some info regarding TG and timeslot and, most important for WiFi users, the IP-address for that hotspot.
He also designed some (new) graphics for P25 and NXDN.

Warren did a pull request for MMDVMHost and the design is now available via the master branche MMDVMHost on G4KLX GitHub (should be available too on Pi-Star).

Playing around with all types of hotspots (simplex & duplex) for DMR, YSF/C4FM and D-Star.
Most of them has a Nextion screen ...

It should be available the moment Andrew update mmdvmhost (which he does when mmdvmhost ha a new build). But you have to stay on the latest version from Pi-Star, noticed you're using 3.4.10 while 3.4.11 is out for some time now..

Another method to obtain this version is to pull it from this site (github):

https://github.com/KD4Z/MMDVMHost/relea ... 0180327.4z

and follow the instruction. Don't know if it is working on nano-spot, but if the OLED is working on your nano I see no reason why not ...

I should get to this in the next couple of days, so long as there are no changes to the config I should be able to release this update quickly...
