Dual Band DVMega Issue

Post by N4NQY »

I am having trouble getting my Dual Band DVMega to work on VHF. Specifically testing using YSF (YSF ONlY). I have tried other modes such as DMR with the same results. I have tried frequencies at both the High end and low end of the band.

When the Startup group is AmericLink, the dashboard is showing conversation but my radio sees a carrier, but no audio. TX and RX offset seem to make no difference. Nor does TXInvert which I would not expect to affect it.

The board works on UHF just fine, so I doubt that I have a hardware/board issue, but anything is possible.

I am running Pi-Star V4RC3 with all updates.

Any suggestions

If you are wondering, I have discovered that, at least in my case, I cannot use Repeater frequencies. If I use 145.000 the Hotspot works fine on VHF. Changing to 145.11, the hotspot does not work. Strange.

I can use the Hotspot now but if anyone has a clue why 145.11 or 148.82 or 147.33 did not, I will check back.

Maybe 12.5khz spacing. ???
Maybe sproggies. Board harmonics. ???
Maybe created in EU not USA,
Many radio manufacturers models have different designators for worldwide area use cases. ???

??? Maybe non of the above.
