DStar DTMF control in ICOM Terminal Mode?

Post by KA2Y »

Are there DTMF commands to control Pi-Star from the keypad of my ID-4100a connected to my Rpi0w via the terminal mode? Such as shutting the Rpi down, changing Reflectors, unlinking, hearing which Reflector I am connected to (if any)? I see there is a DTMF off/on in the config but I cannot find any reference to it. Just installed 4.1 rc3 today and it works great!

I'm not familiar with terminal mode on an ID-4100a, but the radio itself is capable of everything you ask via the UR: field.

I agree. However, when mobile hitting buttons on the mike is easier than spinning knobs on the radio, and easier to watch the road.

The Pi-Star remote does not handle DTMF from D-Star at the moment, my only tip here is to add some of the most useful ones to the memories in the radio, so rather than trying to type any of them, you can cycle through them. Not what you wanted I know - but hey.
