From memory I probably need to tweak something else for that to become operational, but very happy with this Beta working great on the Pi 4 for now.
Bullseye doesn't support the Pi 5, we'll get up to Bookworm soon-ish.

4.2.0 beta seems to be running (and updated) just fine on a Raspberry Pi Zero W Rev 1.1 with an old Zumspot Mini (no OLED). I had no problem changing the remote access password through Pi-Star's web console as usual.

Also tested 4.2.0 beta on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with a DVAP USB dongle with no problems noted.

Was this on a Raspberry Pi or one of the other boards?
An older Pi B Andy....now it seems like my hat is completely jacked from trying the update command....I may run it again. Firs I will put back my 4.1.8 sd card to check the hat.

Again TY for everything!

I have a couple of hotspots.
I've just dropped V4.2.0 on to a simplex hotspot and restored my previous 4.1.8 config
Modem is a generic HS_Hat, running v1.6.1 firmware on a PiZ2W.
Device is connected LAN via an Amazon Firestick LAN adaptor rather than wifi - has always worked fine in this config.
Update/Upgrade has been run, several times, with reboots.
I see the following msg repeatedly within the update:

Updating Dashboard...
Updating /var/www/dashboard...
From https://github.com/AndyTaylorTweet/Pi-Star_DV_Dash
* branch master -> FETCH_HEAD
Already up to date.
Updates were not successfull, reverting to Pi-Star original files...
HEAD is now at 7627b8bb Update modem_fw_upgrade.php
Done

I run this hotspot primarily on DStar, and it seems to be running ok on both DStar and DMR, despite the above error report.

edit /boot/cmdline.txt and append "net.ifnames=0" to the end, I'll rebuild the beta to include that once I have tested it on a few other Pi's than the OG Pi B... :)

EDIT: Pre-fixed version uploaded to the Beta download location.

Ditto here on two different Zumspot Mini's running on Pi Zero W's.

I've also noticed that each time I run sudo pistar-update, the dashboard language is being reset to “english_uk” which causes the timestamps shown on the dashboard to be in UTC instead of the local time zone.

I am pretty sure both of those relate to the same issue - I'll take a look.

EDIT: Should now be cured

It has - thanks Andy. Keep up the good work.
I've updated a second hotspot and both now update without errors.
(my second one (a generic duplex) won't update FW - but I suspect it's locked at the moment)

Flashed to sdcard. Imported config from 4.1.7 working fine on Pi Zero W v1 with generic dmio hat.
