Bad uptime, no remote access via www and SSH

Post by SP4XKB » Wed May 15, 2019 6:43 am

Hi

Today one of the repeaters after yesterday's reboot power supply, again has a problem. The date and wrong uptime indications change.
After some time, there is no remote via www and access via SSH.
pistar does not carry out any commands.
The problem concerns several repeaters.

The problem has been occurring for several weeks on several Repeaters. Hardware is Nano Pi Neo 512 and Teensy 3.5.

Does anyone else have such a problem?

My guess is it sounds like something is going on with the time keeping. Do you know if the site has a substantial change in temperature? Could also be network issues to the NTP pool. Since the Pi doesn't really have a RTC you might want to look into adding one.

Search for a DS1307 or DS3231. The DS3231 keeps time better, as has temperature compensation. An even cheaper solution would be a PCF8563 RTC Board. Since its i2c, it is simple to connect and communicate with.
