Pi-Star Multi-Reflector

Post by MW0MWZ » Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:01 pm

In order to give you all a place to talk about Pi-Star, and to ask for help/advice;

We are pleased to finally announce the Multi-Reflector, available at:

BrandMeister: TG 31672
DMR+: **SOON**
YSF: #31672
NXDN: #31672
P25: #31672
XLX_587 E / XRF587_E (DMR/D-Star)
XLX_303 E / XRF303_E (DMR/D-Star)

No matter what mode you connect on, you will be heard on all of the above, I hope this paves the way for a future where we can all communicate together no matter what mode we happen to choose.

Dashboard: https://multi-reflector.pistar.uk

This Multi-Reflector has been on test for a good few months, it is stable, but like any complex setup, it can go wrong from time to time. Like-wise the dashboard is a custom build just for this system, and while the dashboard is also mostly stable, it may not be perfect; this is a bleeding-edge proving ground for some of the features already in Pi-Star today, the dashboard is showcasing some new tech that will come to PI-Star in the future, the similarities on the dash are only skin-deep.

** We now have a couple of XLX owners working with us - please disregard the below.
I am looking for an XLX who would like to connect a module (that is already transcoding DMR and D-Star) to join us, so that we have every mode covered; Ideally one hosted in the east of the USA; if this sounds like you - please get in touch with me!

Thank you for the support - we now have some XLXs who we're going to connect with, so the multi-reflector will soon be up on both XLX and D-Star too.
Announcements about that once we have them in place and tested.

Testing proved out that it all works, and the Multi-Reflector is up and running on D-Star/XLX now too....
The dashboard is now correcting reading the logs more often than not too, so that's a bonus :)

So at this point, if you operate on a mode supported by the G4KLX software stack, you can use the multi-mode reflector, one more step toward a world where nobody is penalised for having this radio or that.
