My Pi-Star will attach to WiFi, I have two routers and both will attach.
If I don’t connect Ethernet, then I can’t get the Dashboard.
When I transmit, I see the Pi change to the Talk Group. I don’t see me on TGIF Last Heard or the Parrot.
It worked yesterday for about 8 hours, as long as the Ethernet was connected.
I put a password on my Pi-Star, no help.
I updated my Pi, which updated, but still no DMR.
My log shows that when I transmit I get a Master time out after about 3 minutes.
At this point I don’t know if I have a defective Pi or a setting that needs changed?
Any ideas?
DMR not communicating to Master server.
Re: DMR not communicating to Master server.
Are both routers powered and in range of the R-Pi at the same time? You might be getting an erratic (hopping) connection where the R-Pi is jumping from one router to the other, resulting in lost packets during renegotiation and channel select -- or even just interference between the two routers (on the 2.4GHz band, there are only about three WiFi channels out of the eleven that do not overlap).

Re: DMR not communicating to Master server.
Yes, the routers are within 2 feet of each other.
So I powered one off and connected to the other, but get the same problem.
I have the Pi-Star set up to work on my WiFi in my vehicle, which used to work, and I have the same issue in the car.
It tries to connect, but times out.
Then it retries over and over, but times out.

Re: DMR not communicating to Master server.
Just for grins, while still in my car, I switched to the Brandmeister network and it works!
But not on TGIF.
But not on TGIF.
Re: DMR not communicating to Master server.
I brought my Pi back in the house. I read on the TGIF forum that a ham there had to add 01 to his DMR ESSID.
So I changed mine to my Digital ID and selected 01.
It now works on TGIF as well.
This ham mentioned he has to pick a new DMR ESSID each time he switches from BM to TGIF.
?????

Re: DMR not communicating to Master server.
If so he's going to run out of IDs, since there are only 100 (00 - 99) available (well, 101 if you count " ")N9AXT wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 10:08 pm I brought my Pi back in the house. I read on the TGIF forum that a ham there had to add 01 to his DMR ESSID.
