I have 2 Jumbo spots. One works great. I assembled a new one and installed software to new micro SD card. The screen never lights up. If I insert the micro SD card from the working one, the screen works normal. Likewise the micro SD card in the original working one causes nothing on the display.
I have compared settings and cannot find what's missing on the new micro SD card.???

Any ideas?

As you have made new SD card by flashing latest image to it, as opposed to having old one which is updated/upgraded since, there is one option that is added/changed default: LogoScreensaver=0 under Configuration/Expert/MMDVMHost/OLED.

LogoScreensaver=0 already and nothing. The display never lights up at all.

Errrmm... 0 means "disabled", 1 is "enabled", so...

Wouldn't I want the screen saver to be disabled?

I was able to get it working.
1) I recreated the micro sd card from scratch with no change.
2) I restored a backup of the one that was working to the new micro sd card and now it works.
It would be nice to know what was different but I was not able to find the root cause even after comparing settings side by side.
The LogoScreensaver=0 for both and both have a normal display now.

I don't know what you did, but you are wrong.

LogoScreensaver=0 means blank screen and LogoScreensaver=1 activates scrolling logo.

Traffic info is not affected in either way, it is shown on screen when present.

Logoscreensaver =0 don't show the screen saver. Keep the screen blank.

Logoscreensaver =1 show the screen saver, ie scrolling text across the screen when idle.
