HDMI Port on Raspberry PI on Zumspot

A friend of mine and I both bought a ZUMSpot from HRO, set it up and it works great! My friend tried connecting a monitor to the HDMI port on the Raspberry PI and there didn't appear to be any video there. We were both hoping the dashboard would be available on the HDMI port to monitor. Has anyone had any success connecting a monitor to the HDMI port?

Thanks es 73, de NO8J

Pistar runs no gui. There is very little to see on the actual HDMI display. Pistar serves the dashboard via it's webserver application and is displayed using a web browser.

There is a good writeup online that works with the 3.4 releases that tells howto install the gui so you can then make use of an HDMI screen showing the installs dashboard, but. it's offered as is and not supported here by the user group.
