What is BER, as displayed on the pi-star dashboard?

BER, or bit error rate shows the health of the data link between the pi-star hotspot and ur radios transmission. It indicates the percentage of dropped bits it failed to hear in the transmission.
You can adjust for better BER by adjusting the value in the Rx offset field on the MMDVMhost expert page. ../admin/expert/edit_mmdvmhost.php If ur hotspot board came with a sticker showing the manufacturer offset value enter it there.
Alternatively you can have pi-star find the offset value for you by running pistar-cal. where you can enter the rx offset value once the offset has been determined.
