RemoteGateway Option for YSF/DMR/Dstar

Post by AE5ME »

I currently have a repeater running YSF/DMR/Dstar modes using a MMDVM repeater board. There is no internet service at the repeater site.

If I put another MMDVM repeater board with link radio at a location with internet service and set the expert settings RemoteGateway = 1 for all three modes, will the link radio act as a user radio and pass traffic back and forth to the various reflectors? I assume I will set the callsign on the link system to be the same as the repeater.

Thanks in advance!

It will for YSF and DSTAR
It will not for DMR.

Almost - you can run DMRGateway on the 2nd unit, that would fix the DMR one too I think..
