Thank you, and I should have said 8 digits long for BM.

Added some new lines for the TGDYNRewrite options (reflector emulation).

Just been trying the new settings... and for some reason, I think it breaks Parrot (9990) on BrandMeister... a transmission doesn't show up on the BM dashboard and nothing comes back. Setting it back to the old settings (before the rewrite recently) then makes it work again?
(must admit I'm not totally sure it's not something I'm doing!)

Code: Select all

TGRewrite0=2,9,2,9,1
TypeRewrite1=1,9990,1,9990
TypeRewrite2=2,9990,2,9990
SrcRewrite0=2,4000,2,9,1001
PassAllPC1=1
PassAllPC2=2
PassAllTG1=1
PassAllTG2=2

Why doing things so complicated?
You don't need Network identifier for Talkgroups.
Beware of smal and easy to use codeplugs.

Have a look for an example, which is working well on a lot of duplex repeater and hotspots:

Thank you so much for all your work on this Andy! A few quick (probably stupid) questions...
1) Should the Brandmeister server be changed to match my Pi-Star configuration settings? For example I'm set up to connect to BM_United_States_3103
2) the user fields, currently populated with 12345etc, do those need to be changed to our personal DMR IDs?
3) the fields marked "password", should those be changed to our respective passwords for the various networks? If so, with or without the quotation marks?

TL:DR - Is this DMRGateway overlay good to go or does it need tailored to the individual user? Thank you so much for your help in this matter!

This is very helpful. But how do I code the rewrites and other parameters for DMR2YSF, which doesn't work when I use DMR Gateway? I've been told by several users that I need to write DMR2YSF as a separate network when setting up GW with multiple networks. I had thought that this functionality was now built in. Also, does anyone have the coding for adding DMR-MARC to GW?

Ok I did not add that as that was how it was set when I made the new image
for the new gateway overlay
why switch it to 9?
and why use

Code: Select all

TGRewrite0=2,9,2,9,1
PCRewrite0=2,94000,2,4000,1001
TypeRewrite0=2,9990,2,9990
to use brandMeister and tgif do I only need the code under network 4?

Ok so I don’t know computers and all I want is BM and tgif on my hotspot. This is all very confusing. The code on the first part of this thread with the adjustments to the tgif talk group numbers will this allow me to be on tgif and BM? I understand it would allow for dmr + as well. I tried learning code at one point and realized I am not smart enough for that a few years ago. So if I deleted the original code and In put that one will I be good? It’s like Chinese person talking to me reading all this. I’ve been trying to understand this for weeks. Kinda looking for a copy and paste thing. Sorry for the bother. KE8TIG.

I’m going to just copy and paste to add the the code per what I have found it will work as long as I expand the numbers for tgif. 73
