IPSC2-CAN-TRBO

I am currently on tgif and my mmdvm works great. However, my friend who is on nedecn which uses ipsc2 cantrbo. When i switch from tgif to ipsc2 cantrbo and set talk groups i dont hear anything or see my id when i key up. When i try to switch back it wont let me change the settings to go back to tgif. Why?
