Running Pi Star on Rasp pi 3B. Originally setup for YSF. Works great.
Just changed to DMR. I notice Pi Star dashboard displays Callsign followed
by (GPS). What does this mean ? I did not see this in YSF mode.
Thanks and 73

The (GPS) is a link to https://aprs.fi/#!call=<the person's call sign>*

Why the * ? Don't know. But you know when you set up Pi-Star and entered the Lat/Long in the General Section, that is what it is giving out, so people on other Pi-Stars can find you on a map in relation to them.

My YSF has it - (you may need to do an update (I do it twice in SSH by sudo pistar-update) and depending on your version - Currently at 4.1.4 do a sudo pistar-upgrade as many times it take for it to tell you that you are at the latest version.

Don't want your location known like this... set the Lat / Long to 0.000000 and save config.

Why the * ? Don't know.

It a wildcard, that lists all SSID's...

It'll list the callsign plus any previous ssid used. eg

Callsign -7
Callsign -9
Callsign -10
Etc. Etc.
