hi i know this is an old topic but i have tried everything i have found in previous topics nothing seems to work i still cane get my pi star hotspot to connect to my wifi i get it to connect to the dashboard and i enter my wifi ssid and password i used the wifi builder i have copied it into a sd card and still it tells me wifi interface is down

What model Raspberry Pi? If it's a zero it needs to be zerow to have wifi.

if it's a pi zero then that is the problem. Did you buy a ready built or did you add MMDVM hat yourself?

You can connect to the dashboard though, so you can connect in AP mode but when you add the wifi details for your own network then reboot you cannot connect via your network? Does your network SSID have any special charachters?

Have you checked your router to see if it has assigned a DHCP address to the hotspot or done an IP scan to find it?

I have done an ip scan see the ip address for the hotspot

What happens if you try an http connection to that IP address?
