problem with new 6 digit repeater connecting to BM

This is a request for help getting my (new repeater node, 312800) working on DMR. The dashboard looks good; but it doesn’t respond to DMR local RF or network. The repeater works fine on P25 (has been fine for a year). The MMDVM DMR LED shows that the receiver is passing DMR and the MMDVM board responds; so it’s something in the BM network setup.
My BM sysop dash shows problems. I have set a device passwd. I’m not clear whether this is a “hot spot security” or DMR Network-1 passwd. How do I correctly set both of those?
I have done updates and upgrade without errors.
