No standalone Pi-Star system - is it possible?

Post by m0ppr »

Hi All,

I have got two Raspberry Pies sitting together on shelf. One is my micro home server, the other one is of course my Pi-Star hotspot. I just simply wonder is it possible (nothing is impossible :) ) to install pi-star system on my raspberry pi homeserver and move the hat to it? I can't see any point to keep two pies on one shelf :)

Pi-Star was designed to run on a dedicated host and not to be installed along with other applications. It can be done as all the source code is freely available but would be a lot of work and would be unsupported so if an update broke it you would be on your own.
