I've uploaded an HMI file that seems to be working with but one issue: with the exception of "Digital Simplex MMDVM Gateway", all the text is slanted to the left as if in extreme reverse italics. The text can partially be made out but barely.

I've been struggling with the Nextion installation and this is the closest I've come after many hours of trying.

Well, I solved part of the problem, at least the visual. The default font for the file I was using was where the reverse italics was coming from. The problem now is that the only thing that shows on the Nextion when it is connected to the Pi is the default text from the file I downloaded. I was able to put in my call and operating frequency but I thought it should pick up the information from the Spot (incoming call, name, etc.)
