MMDVM Hotspot Temps

Post by NJ5W »

I have a 3B with a simplex hat running with no fan right now. How are the temps running for others? I'm thinking of putting a fan inside my C4Labs case to cool it off some. Seems to run around 55 deg F now.

"55 deg F"???

Put a heater on that sucker :lol:

I suspect you meant 55degC => 131degF

Mine (DV-Mega on 3B in some case) was at 120degF (green) when I opened the admin page, and the load on it for the web server rapidly kicked it up to 122degF (amber/orange). Supposedly an R-Pi doesn't start to throttle (reduce clock speed) until the temp reaches 80degC

If its running around that temp, i really wouldn't bother. Its in the green (safe) range.

Yes..between 50-55c most of the times. Seems to be in line with what others are seeing.

Thanks.
