Host newbie question with FT991a

Post by KD2YUW »

I have setup a hotspot using my pi-star and can link to amerilink but I am curious if there is a way to search for different rooms on my FT991a while connected to this hotspot? Sorry if this has been asked before but hey I'm new to this!

Yeah totally as long as the radio supports wires x linking.

As each yeasu radio does this slightly different im not able to tell you how, as i dont use / own a 991.

If you check ur manual re: wires X linking commands, you should be good. mmdvmhost was reverese engineered to work as yaesu intended for searching and bringing up different links.

The simple difference being, on wires x network you get a list of rooms. With YSF you get a list of reflectors.
