I am having a problem when connecting to repeaters via Pi-Star, v4.1.6.
I have attempted to connect on several radios (ID-51A, ID-5100A,IC-7100A & IC-9700)
to any DSTAR repeater with no avail.
Yes, I even pulled out the instruction manual for each, h,hi.
However, I am NOT having any issues when linking/connecting to ANY reflectors. (ie: BCS, REF, XLX & XRF)
Wondering if anyone else is having the same problem with v4.1.6.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Repeater Linking/Connecting
Re: Repeater Linking/Connecting
There are host files that contains all the known reflector IP addresses so ur install knows where to connect.
For repeaters youll need to populate a file yourself.
There are user host files in /root for this purpose. edit them with the call and IP address of each rptr your looking to link with. Use the correct host file for the protocol the rptr uses for inbound links. DCS_Hosts.txt, DExtra_Hosts.txt, or DPlus_Hosts.txt.
Also remember, some rptr owners might not want, or support inbound linking. Linking outbound to a reflector is different to the extra efforts needed to support inbound linking and needs to be setup rptr side.
