Pi-Star erased BM pasword while online

For a couple months, I've had no issues. I have not turned the hotspot off. I'm on Pi-Star:4.1.6 / Dashboard: 20220512 with a hat on a RPI 3B+.

Today, I returned to my home & tried to select the channel to reconnect my ht to my home hotspot like I would normally. My ht said it couldn't find my hotspot.

Looking at hotspot webpage, I found the DMR net was yellow. Going into configuration, BM Hotspot Security:
I entered the BrandMeister hotspot Password & applied.

Everything reset and all green.

Does either BM or the hotspot auto clear the password after so many days like a lease or something? What went wrong?

No, neither is designed to clear ur BM security password field.

Best quess i have is, ur password never fully took when you entered it and as you've now rebooted the default config value has been apllied instead.

Maybe a simple test would be another reboot to see if it defaults agn, showing there is an actual issue.

Here is my experience on about 8 systems facing the same issues (HS and repeaters):

If you have it configured for BM ONLY, change to Gateway.
As usual, Apply wait for the config page to reload, then set the desired BM Master and retype your HotSpot Security password. Apply again.
At this point it should be working fine (DMR NET field GREEN at ADMIN PiStar page).
If so, change config back to BM ONLY, Apply, wait, retype password.
If it's already configured as Gateway, you'll need to go BM Only and back to GW again to have this procedure working.

On ALL the cases I've been helping this workaround has "fixed forever" the password magical dissapearing.

I hope this help.
