When i use the pi-star the ysf and d-star stay's red under modem type . What is the fix

Insufficient information.

For one thing "Modem Type" is an entry on the configuration page. It does not have red/green display.

The dashboard/admin page has "Modes Enabled" and "Network Status" which track different items. Which are red?

For D-Star, are you registered with a D-Star site -- this is a two step process: first you provide your call sign, etc.; then a few days later (supposedly after an email notification) you go back and fill in the information on the "nodes" you will have active (most people just need one node defined).

I don't know what, if anything, Yeasu requires for their protocol.
