pistar voice too loud

Hello
pi-star voice ("you are connected to XLX ...") is way louder than the QSOs.
Is there a way to decrease pistar announcements level only ?

No, but you can choose a different voice to maybe find one thats better suited for you.

I have noticed the same problem with the announcements in the D-Star mode (I assume that this is also is the case in your situation).
The annunciations were too loud (even with distortion) for my Icom ID-E880 which was quite annoying.
Pi-Star has the option to change the language in the configuration (D-Star configuration block, ircDDB Gateway language).
I have changed the default language (UK-English) into US-English, and now the announcements are 'softer'.
So you can try that....
