POCSAG Pager Mode Change?

Greetings.
I'm trying to use some Motorola Unication Pagers, and they work with POCSAG Mode-3. I noticed while decoding the transmission of my pistar while transmitting pocsag, that the mode is POCSAG-4 under MODE in my decoding software.
It there any way to switch to POCSAG-3?
I have another dedicate pocsag-3 encoder and I have verified that the pager is working.
