DCS Reflector via XLX mode in the DMRGateway

I have been experimenting with the XLX mode built into the DMRGateway
I can connect to XLX103B just fine, but I get no audio back and the hotspot shows 6.8 BER(???)
I do see the user info on the screen

When I connect to XLX259, everything works just fine.

When I connect to XLX103B, via an openspot 3, I get no audio
When I connect to DCS103B, via an openspot 3, I now get audio

I don't see any way to get the DMRGateway XLX to use DCS Mode

Can anyone shed any light on this???

Given another xlx works fine id guess its...

Because of xlx multi protocol feature if somebody is using dstar mode and the xlx is lacking the vocoder hardware needed you will see dstar users key but you wont hear any audio. Same to them in reverse. if dmr (or ysf user) keys they wont hear the audio. Unless the vocoding hardware is in place to allow different ops (modes) to all talk as one, youll see this 'problem'

Thanks for the reply. I did get it sorted out Reflector XLX103 does not actually use the XLX protocol, at least it did not for me. It does however use DCS, REF, and XRF. Once I connected via an openspot 3 using the DCS Mode, it started working OK.
The XLX103 dashboard does show what modes it can handle. So many others don't.

Those are DSTAR protocols so kinda makes sense given the os3 / os4 has its own vocoder chip which will cross DSTAR to DMR.
