As title suggests, my Pi with duplex hat won't automatically connect to the Wifi (WPA2 AES) unless I disconnect the USB adapter and reconnect it. The expected procedure is:
step 1: boot up pi-star;
step 2: auto-connect to wifi;
step 3: it connects.
In reality, the procedure is this:
step 1: boot up pi-star;
step 2: unplug USB Wifi adapter;
step 3: re-plug USB Wifi adapter
step 4: it connects
Once connected, it works well. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem, and if there's a way to fix it.

Have you tried different adapters? Same behavior for each?
Re: No auto-connect to WiFi unless adapter dis/reconnected.
I tried another adapter in the end, it seems to work OK for now.

Just a guess on my part, but your prior adapter may have been failing the way it did because of undervoltage conditions.
