Strange D-STAR receive problem

Post by AJ4NI »

I recently picked up a new Zumspot Elite with 3.5" screen. It's set up with same parameters as my 5 year old Zumspot, which works great.

On the new Zumspot I get out with good audio, according to reports, but I can't receive anything--it's all garbled with 70-90% loss rates shown on the dashboard. Sometimes I can hear a couple of clear words, then garbled again.

I've tried adjusting TXoffset and RXoffset with no improvement. Any ideas? This is mystifying me.

If your being heard ok by others on the net, no need to alter the configs RX offset. Concentrate on the TX offset.

Tried an ethernet cable connection--works perfectly. Unfortunately, I don't have ethernet where I want to use this Zumspot. I guess this narrows the problem down to wifi somehow, but I'm still scratching my head. An old Zumspot works with this wifi, and with same settings as far as I can tell.

Any thoughts?

Does it really matter where you site ur hotspot given ur using an rf to work it?

Any radio should be able to cover across the area of ur home.
