Recently I've bought Motorola R7. My first DMR radio. I haven't had any problems with programming my GP1280, but the new one needs more knowledge. Maybe someone could support me with some settings or show the right way of programming the radio ?
With the radio I have a programming cable, the Software - CPS 2.0 and the MMDVM Hotspot - but I need to know how I can sort out the Talkgroups into the Zones/Channels

Create the Contacts: mostly talk groups and private contacts (if necessary).
Add the TGs to a Rx Group List.
Go to Zones (ignore Channel Pool, you won't need it), create channels inside. A channel is frequency + color code + timeslot.
Assign a Rx Group List to a channel -- the radio will "open squelch" for TGs in that list on the said channel.
Assign a Tx Contact Name to a channel -- the default contact to be dialled when PTT is pressed.
