Bought this last spring from HRO and returned it to them when it would'nt work. Multiple issues. They put a new card in and it worked once. Then quit.
It was in the drawer since then. Yesterday I tried it and now it's stuck in "Initializing" state. Saw another post regarding this but was not clear on the final outcome (if any) on the issue.
Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
Re: Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
Usually youll see Initialising when the setup is trying to connect to a home network. Without a net connection the services wont start up.
Log into ur router and check if it sees the hotspot connected.

Re: Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
My zumspot elite 3.5 is doing the same thing, stuck on initializing. I am plugged into the network, it is pingable. it gets IP from dhcp server, Ip is not there when powered off and it responds to pings once it starts initializing. I have flashed a new sd card with the Raspberry Pi imager.v1.8.5 It still hangs on initializing. Is there anything else that I can try to get this working again?
Re: Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
Try swapping to the legacy branch (instructions here: viewtopic.php?t=4806) and see if that gets it going again.
Re: Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
Can't ssh as it isn't initialized. Is there a way to edit the sd card and fix this?

Re: Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
I put a new sd card in the zumspot, rebooted with monitor and keyboard and mouse connected. This let me install the latest image for my pi-star and this fixed it. once the lates was installed I resotred my last config backup.
Re: Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
so the zumpsot is working for transmitting and receiving but the display continues to show initializing if someone isn't talking.
Any hints on where to look to fix this issue?

Re: Zumspot 3.5 Elite not "initializing"
I suspect that there are a couple of files missing (that I don't provide). So I will be working to improve the NextionDriver install as part of the Pi-Star image - that should get it going again. Maybe I'll get to that this weekend.
