Running Beta - I have encountered a different issue. In changing the administration password for the configuration (happily accepted) this is not transferred to the Operating System password. The default 'raspberry' no longer works, so I cannot access ssh at all. Has there been an encrypted failure on changing the password? I have rebooted and have succesfully rechanged the Administration password on several occasions.

Secondly I report the same failure as the last post when attempting an update.

These will clear up, I have already modified the update process.

Was this a one off, or is it repeatable?

I have tried five times on the same image, if that's what you mean. Unsuccesful access to ssh. I even tried inserting 'raspberry' - Works on configuration after I clear the browser cache, but not on ssh

I have always used the passwd command to change the pi-star user password.

I then change the dashboard password separately.

Testing Beta...wanted to test restoring a backup....that worked. Then had small hiccup running Update but update fixed itself. Seems to be working well! Thanks Andy!

Grabbed the beta off the download site. Flashed to card.

Pi 4 B Rev1.5, dvmega single band modem, hardwired network

Booted card - SSH from the expert page. Raspi-config enabled SSH & changed locales for the OS. Ran pistar-update successfully a couple times. Restored a working 4.1.8 configuration and tweaked those minor things that don't come across in the configuration restoration.

Rebooted and tested rf commands - local echo, ID, Disconnect, IP, 8Ball, linked to echo module on a reflector, disconnect and link to REF "c" module and qso with a station. All appears to be working as it was in 4.1.8.

Browser interface appears to work as intended with service status info, D-Star Link info, D-Star link manager, Gateway & Local Activity along with all the "Status Info" in the left columns viewed from the Admin page. Successfully downloaded a config backup.

Moved the card and hardware into a Pi 5 4Gb and that stalled at boot. Power led changes from red to solid green and never moves beyond, no network activity. From memory I probably need to tweak something else for that to become operational, but very happy with this Beta working great on the Pi 4 for now.

Thanks for all the work Andy!
We appreciate you!

Anyway we can get the interface name to be a little simpler/shorter? Messes up my Nextion screen...(I removed the other info.) Unless this is just my issue....

Or maybe its a Nextion parsing issue....hmm

TY very much!!!!

Was this on a Raspberry Pi or one of the other boards?
