Downgrade to 4.1.7?

Post by oe4kmu »

Hello friends, is it possible to undo the Pi-Star upgrade? Since the last update, FM no longer works. Since I have my relay on the mountain, unfortunately I can't update the modem firmware at the moment. Please for info. 73s and thank you de Klaus, OE4KMU

You can swap to the legacy branch on 4.1.x or 4.2.x and run the older binaries;

A better idea is to upgrade the FW on your modem, and move to the higher speed and FM mode should be working again.

Thank you very much Andy, that has already helped me a lot. FM is now working again, I will update the modem when the snow on the mountain is gone and it gets warmer again. I have to put a jumper there. All this is not so easy on a high relay location. 73 Klaus, OE4KMU

Hi Andy, and sorry, Klaus, for using your post, but I also have a problem with FM (not working since the 4.1.8 update). Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck trying to update the modem. I am currently using an RPI 3b+ with the DB9MAT MMDVM Repeater Hat.

Any help to solve it remotely would be much appreciated since the repeater is in a difficult-to-access place.
