Zumspot Libre Not upgrading

Post by KC2CBD »

My Zumspot Libre is now not upgrading with 4.2.1
I get the following
[✗] ERROR: Modem flashing failed. The serial port was either busy, or the modem is
possibly locked from the vendor. You can try running this command again,
or you can contact the supplier of your modem/hotspot for support.

It needs to be updated from V1.5.2

Thanks.

Is the libre a hotspot or repeater board?

MMDVM Hotspot boards can usually be flashed using the tool on the expert page. If its a repeater board youll need to follow the advice of your boards supplier following their recommendations they might provide with their how-to.

How is that suppose to help me?
The expert menu in Pi-Star isn't working. I even tried the firmware updater in WPSD as well. But apparently it uses the same firmware update script.

Thanks

You could try an ssh connection to the Pi-Star and then use the pistar-zumspotflash command after having used wget to retrieve the firmware from the page suggested.

I don't know if it will work, but it has to be worth a go. You will need to use rpi-rw so that the card is writable.
