MMDVM Hat flash not working

Post by vk4nga »

Hi all,
Have tried to use the MMDVM hat flash command to upgrade hat firmware but I can't get it to work.
Have tried on 4.2.1 and 4.3.0 using the command that I've used loads of times. sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatflash hs_hat
On each version below is what I get:
Welcome to Pi-Star: v4.3.0
Last login: Wed Mar 20 20:20:56 2024 from 192.168.0.134
pi-star@pi-star(ro):~$ sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatflash hs_hat
sudo: pistar-mmdvmhshatflash: command not found
pi-star@pi-star(ro):~

Any advice is appreciated.

Issue this command instead and go from there:

Code: Select all

sudo pistar-modemupgrade

Check the expert page. the firmware update (FW) for hotspot boards is now actioned via the dashboard GUI.

.../admin/expert/modem_fw_upgrade.php

Cool, getting to that page when adding the last part to the web address, but I couldn't find it in the listed menues...
Maybe it's too late ;-)

Depending on the release of pistar ur running. The page got added in 4.1.8
Not sure if the earlier release got pre-dated with the firmware update page. They might still be using the cli to update.
