Motorola R7 FW Update Issue
Posted: Tue Sep 24, 2024 5:09 pm
Hello all,
Just updated my R7 to the latest FW: R0224021002_242209_Portable_NA
The R7 can no longer transmit into my Hotspot. It receives correctly.
Hotspot is a homemade Pi-Zero with a MMDVM simplex hat.
If the Hotspot if fully released, when I PTT, the DMR & COS leds will light, but the COS goes out in about 1 second. With the DMR led still on, additional PTTs get no reaction from the COS.
I'm wondering if something in the updated R7 ETSI specs are causing this.
Here is the ETSI support text from the new Motorola Release note:
ETSI DMR Specification Version Supported in Release
TS 102 361-1: the DMR air interface protocol v2.6.1
TS 102 361-2: the DMR voice and generic services and facilities v2.5.1
TS 102 361-3: the DMR data protocol v1.3.1
TS 102 361-4: the DMR trunking protocol v1.7.1 ~ 1.12.1
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanx.....Len
