I picked up a 2.4 inch nexion display for Jumbo Spot.

It is wired up and I have loaded the generic NX3224T024-L3.tft file and loaded it in the nexion

The display lights up and shows MMDVM on the screen and nothing else.

I have tried all sorts of settings.

When ever I set the Configuration to /dev/ttyAMAO and Nexion the Jumbo Spot stops receiving my radio transmissions. If I set to /dev/ttyAMAO and OLED all works perfectly.

I have tried all the different Layout settings in Expert for Nexion. No luck

Could someone share the settings they are using with this screen.

When my Nextion is wired on my jumbospot I choose "Modem" for the output port instead "/dev/ttyAMAO"

(Now i use USB port, it's more easy !!!, not necessary to open the box)

USB? Interesting.

How do I connect via USB?

I guess fabricate a cable that is USB Micro for Pi Zero and to the four pin connector on the display? Is there a specific pin out?

What about settings in pi-star?

USB TTL converter is what you need theres plenty on ebay dirt cheap.........have you wired the nextion correctly? tx-rx and rx-tx on the board i have a jumbospot with the 4 pin nextion screen pins soldered on the board and it is wired red yellow blue and black and ‘modem’ selected in pi-star configuration

I believe I have it wired correctly. The power must be correct and it is displaying the mmdvm logo.

I tried swapping the tx and rx just to see, no change. I'll try swapping to another jumbo spot this weekend. made this jumbo spot has a problem on the board.

Every time you change your wiring or ouput display port, you must reboot the PI Hotspot...

As it turns out the MMDVM hat was loaded with 1.3.4 firmware and would not display any data. I had to roll it back to 1.3.3 for it to display.

That was my cure for now unless someone has better information or which I am not aware.
