DMR Repeater

Hello, all. I'm attempting to build a low profile repeater with the STM32-DVM board. My Anytone HT seems to work well, but I'm having issues with my MD-380. The frequencies and color codes, etc are correct. However, the MD-380 won't "handshake" with the repeater. It queries, and fails like the repeater is off the air. Is there a tweak in Pi-Star that may need adjusted?

Everything is here at my home, so being able to reach the repeater isn't an issue either.

Thanks!
Adam, W8FLH

Adam this is a delicate procedure for making receive works and with many variations depending on the hardware used. What is the radios on repeater side and modem hardware? Is Anytone accessing the repeater and MD380 not?
Or Anytone is the radio for the hotspot / repeater? Give some more info so we can suggest something...

Handshake problem on going.

Kit.
2x Tait TM8110 VHF
Pi3
STM32dvmv1

Problem.
Unit setup as a repeater but only the Retevis RT82 will connect from cold. TYT MD380 VHF or MD9600 VHF band will not connect unless the repeater is still active. BUT if the 380 and 9600 ptts are pressed at the same time the repeater can be accessed from cold then either radio can be used to continue a conversation.

Solution.
Is there one?

Enable debug in the MMDVMHost config, watch the logs when the box is idle and you press the PTT, see what information MMDVMHost has to say about it when you press the PTT.

Single radio will not connect and no log displayed.
Doing the two radio ptt I get DAC overflow mentioned. I couldn't save a small enough file size to send you a picture.

Experiencing the same issue.

I have an STM32_DVM Pi Hat on a RPi 3B+ connected to a Yaesu DR-1x repeater.
D-STAR works just fine, but neither my MD380, nor my CS-700 will connect.
Live Logs indicates: M: 2019-07-02 01:55:16.166 Downlink Activate received from VE3MIC
Nothing appears in the Local RF Activity section of the Dashboard.
The repeater is transmitting digital data (can be heard on an analogue radio)

I've attached a screenshot of the dashboard.

I must be missing something.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

A) I'd be tempted to see what the ADMIN dashboard looks like (It displays a lot more status boxes).

B) That DMR ID doesn't look right -- aren't they supposed to be 7 digits? DMR ID lookup gives 3020174 for VE3MIC (with a secondary of 3023151). 302032 isn't even valid as a Talk Group number (30232 is the closest -- for Ontario Storm Spotting group)

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the reply.. I believe that repeater IDs are typically 6 digits, but you did alert me to a problem. The Brandmeister repeater page shows VE3RIG hasn't been connected since June 28th, even though the BM API is working and I am able to make talkgroup changes via the Pi-Star dashboard.
I've contacted BM Canada to see if they can shed some light on this.
Thanks again.
