Re: Numeric callsigns - further clarification

In short, the numbers can come from a few places, if a number shows up coming from a DMR network, that is always because the local database was unable to match it to a callsign / name. So why are there numbers that dont make sense - most usually it will be a gateway / bridge somewhere and the bridge...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3A+ WiFi issue

I agree that using software based entropy generation isn't the "best possible solution" but I am also supporting more than just Raspberry Pi foundation hardware, and some of that does not have onboard RNG support. There are a LOT of OS related changes that it was easier to migrate forwards rather th...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3A+ WiFi issue

I'm noticing only one minor issue: when I'm first configuring my wireless network for the RC7 image and choose my country code, US, then scan for network, the country code appears to get set back to JP. If I select US again, and then select my network, enter my PSK, and click Save (and connect), it...

DMRid.dat - 50,000 records missing

The source we had been using for DMR IDs has about 50,000 records missing at the moment, for the time being at least we have swapped to another source, update and your dashboard will once again show callsigns.

Re: dashboard callsign information.

The source database I use for updating Pi-Star has some 50,000 IDs missing at the moment, not sure what is up with that, but I swapped the update server over to another source and we should be back in business.

Re: dashboard callsign information.

Seems to be getting worse. System just pulled down http://www.pistar.uk/downloads/DMRIds.dat as part of its nightly job. The newer version even has less id's in it. File size: 2061292 All DMR ID's higher than 2143092 are missing in that version of the file pulled from pistar.uk. I'm looking into it...

Re: dashboard callsign information.

What about our big Andy? I have been fighting for half a year to solve the time zone problem in the Nano PI build. And then nothing. Pistar is favoring the Brand Meister network, and DMR + is out of the way. All my Pi-star repeaters will be removed soon. 73 Konrad sp4xkb Konrad, it was VERY hard to...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3A+ WiFi issue

Just adding in some answers here... 2x wpa_supplicant - its not an issue - you can ignore that (I think - I may live to eat these words, but so far I think its correct). Seeing the wpa_supplicant for the AP mode - will not make any impact while the interface is not up. OK at the moment I believe tha...
