Re: Should I update ZumSpot FirmWare?

Version 1.3.3 is really old, there have been a lot of fixes and improvements since then.

Version 1.5.2 should install automatically, you need to run the appropriate flash command for a Zumspot after logging in via SSH.

Re: update loop, update fails

Log in using SSH from the Configuration->Expert menu

Now run

rpi-rw

followed by

sudo rm /usr/local/sbin/.git/index.lock

then

sudo pistar-update

Re: Firmware update fails

Re: RP P4 8GB, DOES NOT WORK WITH DUPLEX MMDVM

Possibly you have locked firmware meaning you need an ST-Link programmer to unlock it using the ST-Link connector.

I read that you can try to update by shorting the JUMPER 1 above the MMDVM but I don't know what other PIN to short, ma...

Re: 4.1.5 without announcement?

Thanks for the explanation Andy, it's all very interesting.

Lots of half-finished implementations around, I meant router upnp rather than Pi-Star

Yeah, my guess is Andy got super busy and hasn't had time to post an announcement.
I expect that soon Andy will find a way to automate the pistar-upgrade process.

What, if anything changed other than the version number?
