Re: Not receiving signal

Go to the admin/expert page and click live logs. My guess is the log will report your not connecting to the server. A few weeks back the UK server changed its access password. You can edit the changes to the password in admin/expert dmrgateway, by changing the password shown there in the BM section ...

Re: V4 still Beta?

Ok, been a lurker on here for awhile as been playing with Pistar for about a year. But as a contributor to 3 dozen or so opensource projects including the Linux kernel I am starting to wonder why this is still even a thread. There are really only two basic rules for opensource when interacting with...

Re: V4 still Beta?

Yes, but the wrong conclusion. As a new update to the dashboard was pushed out a day before the post. And continue to be. Well, lets just take a second and follow the path and see how someone easily arrives at that conclusion though. The pistar updates happen in the middle of the night for me. I do...

Re: V4 still Beta?

Maybe. I just don't understand this type of thing, especially given such rumours come from nowhere, with no reasoning at all. As your reply stated updates are still being pushed out, but some are obviously blind to this, so their inabilities fuel rumour. Crazy. Well, I wouldn't say it comes from no...

Re: V4 still Beta?

On the other hand, it might be viewed as a good thing that the rumor got posted here (with the clear caveat, "Let’s hope this is only rumors") so that it could be fact checked. What better place can someone post something like this in order to find out whether it is true or not? Maybe. I just don't...

Re: V4 still Beta?

I’m actually hearing rumors that development of pi-Star has basically stopped. Something about the developers walked away. Let’s hope this is only rumors. Please let us know the source for these rumours. I never understand this type of post. You have no factual information to back up such a post, y...

Re: is there such thing as dstar2dmr and/or dstar2ysf?

XLX usually uses two ambe vocoder chips dstar is ingested passed to the 2nd encoder to come out as DMR. Although it's encoded /re_encoded the path stays 1s and 0s. Some of the other options use a DtoA and AtoD conversion using software encoders. Where the dstar get converted to analogue that analog...

Re: is there such thing as dstar2dmr and/or dstar2ysf?

No, differing codecs between dstar and anything else. YSF, DMR, nxdn follow a very similar codec making it possible. There are certain TG's / groups / reflectors that can handle Dstar2 other modes, but that's where other hardware / software runs on those particular assetts to make it work that way. ...
