Re: How do I tell Brandmeister I have a hotspot? (New guy)

-N and -B seem to be related to my hotspot. But that's why I want to be able to change some settings on Brandmeister, so I can tell it to quit sending those position updates to APRS-IS.

Yes my friend, you are right.

However:

So the issue of the postions being sent seems to be ...

Re: How do I tell Brandmeister I have a hotspot? (New guy)

Hello folks.

I just set up an MMDVM hotspot last week and I'd like it to quit sending position updates to APRS-IS.

From APRS.fi it looks like you are sending positions from radio for WD8CIV-9 and WD8CIV-10. For "-B" and "-N", it appears they derive from D-Star and YSF. Not quite sure about ...

Re: Prevent UA Talkgroups

To prevent user access to dynamic TG's in BM network, remove the PASSALL rules and add rules for those TG's you want, eg:

TGRewrite0=2,92,2,92,1001

You could edit your talk group rewrite rules, to only include those talk groups that you want. This would prevent any other talk groups from being activated, however this would apply to yourself as well.

Re: DMR MMDVM does not see my radio

Had any luck? You could try changing the RX/TX offsets by -150 at a time and see if it starts hearing each time, maybe go as far as -1000.

I think this is the lastest default:

Re: DMR Gateway dropping out

Hi Pete,

Believe me that everything you are saying, I have been there. From "network watchdog has expired" in your log, to not hearing anything and then more, including endless, continual announcements from DMR+_IPSC2-VKHOTSPOT saying "not connected".

Every-time that I came to an unsolvable dead ...

Re: DMR Gateway dropping out

Hi Pete,

I eventually got DMR Gateway working very well. First step, I only enabled one network, the Brandmeister network, and got that working.

Then I learnt the rewrite rules:

Re: Rewrite Rules in Simplex Node

Thank you all for your kind replies

Assignment of talk groups to time slots is something done at the repeater/hotspot level and does not propagate beyond that level (just as "color code" is only used between your radio and the hotspot/repeater). Only the talk group number has meaning to the ...
